Million Mile Program

Join us this year as we take on the challenge of riding a MILLION MILES on behalf of our healing heroes nationwide.

Whether you are a veteran or Project Hero supporter, expert cyclist or just beginning to ride, you can help us get to 1 million miles by joining our Strava club - Project Hero (National). Get started with Strava today to have your cycling miles count toward our million miles goal!

#MILLIONMILE CHALLENGE 2019

Pump up those tires and get ready for our #MillionMile campaign to get physically fit and mentally strong with more miles on the journey of healing this year. Join riders from Project Hero’s (National) strava club this year for a  chance of winning one of our #MillionMile Virtual Challenges. All you have to do is ride your bike, indoor or outdoor, and share your ride with all of us!

 

What’s our goal?

To  get more people riding more miles. Let’s strengthen Hope, Recovery and Resilience, one pedal at a time.

Ride in your favorite Project Hero jersey, Ride 2 Recovery jersey, or local event T-shirt. Upload your ride activity to Strava club, Project Hero (National) and share your photo on your personal Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using both hashtags #MillionMiles and #WeAreProjectHero.

Virtual challenge Dates-May 13 through May 27, 2019

 

 

#MillionMile Virtual Challenge Two
Challenge: Join a designated HUB group ride and enjoy the camaraderie, even if you’re not a veteran or healing hero. Not connected with a HUB or just don’t know what it is? That’s okay- ride with 3+ friends to create your own HUB! Upload your ride activity to Strava and share your photo on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using both hashtags #MillionMile and #WeAreProjectHero.

Prize: Helmet

Virtual challenge dates: June 17 - 30, 2019

 

#MillionMile Virtual Challenge Three

Challenge: In honor of the Tour de France, ride in a yellow Ride 2 Recovery jersey, Yellow Project Hero jersey or yellow T-shirt! Bonus entries for green, or polka dot jerseys. Upload your ride activity to Strava and share your photo on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using both hashtags #MillionMile and #WeAreProjectHero.

Virtual challenge dates: July 22 - 30, 2019

 

 

How do you join the challenge?

It's easy!

1. Ride your bike and take a picture of you completing the challenge.

2. Upload your ride activity on Strava & create a post your activity to the Strava club, Project Hero (National)

3. Post your photo to the Strava club, Project Hero (National)

4. Post your photo on either your personal FB page*, Instagram**, or Twitter *** with the hashtags #MillionMile & #WeAreProjectHero.

Winners will be selected  at random and will be announced on  the Project Hero website, Facebook, Instagram, and on the Strava club, Project Hero (National).

 

To be eligible, contestants must: be a member of the Project Hero (National) Strava club and have a social media account (Facebook, Instagram or Twitter). Participants must upload their ride activity on Strava, as well as create a post on the Strava club, Project Hero (National) AND post a photo on either your personal FB page*, Instagram**, Twitter *** with the hashtags #MillionMile and #WeAreProjectHero. Posts without photos will be disqualified.

*Facebook pages must be public to be eligible for the #MillionMile monthly contest.

**Instagram accounts must be public to be eligible for the #MillionMile monthly contest.

**Twitter accounts must be public to be eligible for the #MillionMile monthly contest.

 

Only one photo entry per day. Whether it’s outside on the road or inside on the trainer,  the more you ride, the more chances you have to win! There might only be one official winner per contest, but you’re out riding your bike - and when more of our #WeAreProjectHero community ride more often, we all win.
