Honor Rides roll on
Project Hero Honor Rides continue to bring healing heroes together with their communities throughout the nation. Congratulations to the Project Hero Barrington Honor Ride team for a great event last weekend! You can read some of the great media coverage here. Project Hero Research making strides for healing heroes
Continuing our commitment to supporting research and reducing the suicide rate among our healing heroes, the Project Hero Research Institute has distributed the 4th phase of its research survey, which marks the final installment of the 4-part study. This research program is available to all Project Hero participants who are injured veterans or first responders. If you would like to take part in our research program, please contact Tina Ray at tray@projecthero.org for registration and additional information.


Prescott, AZ & Atterbury, IN HUBS set to open
Project Hero is proud to announce the upcoming opening of two new HUB programs in Prescott, AZ, and Atterbury, IN. The Prescott HUB will be coordinated by and managed through Sean Hankison, Peer Support Specialist (H-PACT), and David Blout, Rehabilitation Medicine Coordinator. David was able to join us at the last HUB Training camp in Palo Alto, CA. The Atterbury HUB will be located at Camp Atterbury in Edinburgh, IN, site of Project Hero’s upcoming 2018 Fall Women’s Initiative. Training of the HUB staff will be held within the next two weeks and the program is planned to open within the next two months. The training will include workshops on bike maintenance, leading rides, fitting new riders to cycles, Project Hero background, community and public relations, and event planning. The training will be led by Project Hero leadership including Jayme Brown and Michael Manning. Fall Women's Initiative update
Invitations for the Project Hero 2018 Fall Women's Initiative were sent out yesterday! If you have registered for the program, please check your email for information. This event will be held at Camp Atterbury in Edinburgh, IN and promises to be another incredible experience! The Initiative will include seminars on personal and professional growth, daily rides and team and community-building activities. 11th California Challenge update
The 11th UnitedHealthcare California Challenge will cover more than 450 miles of beautiful California coast as we journey from Palo Alto to Los Angeles from October 13-20. Our journey will take us to popular annual Challenge destinations including Santa Cruz, Carmel, Pismo Beach, San Simeon, Solvang and Ventura and will finish with our traditional celebration at the West LA VA. The ride guide is planned for release within the next two weeks and more info on registration, volunteering and supporting the California Challenge can be found on theevent page.
