ABOUT THE EVENT
The Womenʼs Initiative is a unique mental and physical rehabilitation effort specifically designed to help and support female service members who have experienced any type of mental or physical injury. The Initiative creates a setting that allows for healing, growth, and learning in a cycling-centric format with a female focus.
Category of ride: This ride is rated Easy (Least difficult)
PARTICIPATION
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER ONLINE. This event is free to all female healing heroes. Spots are limited and participation will be by invitation only based on the criteria below. You must register to be considered for invitation.
NEW cyclists are highly encouraged to participate in this event. Contact your Project Hero Manager for more information.

To participate in the Women's Initiative, please select your participation type at the top to begin your registration. INVITATION CRITERIA
Invitational criteria may be based on one or more of the following:
1. Category (difficulty) of the ride
2. Participant's ability to successfully complete the ride
3. Participant's past history on Challenges
4. Participation in Project Hero Community Centers and/or Project Hero’s Strava Clubs
Based on the above criteria, all participants will receive either an invitation email or waitlist email. Invited participants will have one week to confirm participation before moving to the waitlist. With limited spots, participants on the waitlist will fulfill any spots that open along the way.
VOLUNTEERS
All volunteers and caregivers must register online. If you are interested in volunteering or joining us as a caregiver, please
sign up here. A Project Hero staff member will reach out to confirm your participation and role. Please note that signing up as a volunteer or a caregiver does not guarantee you a spot on a Challenge. Volunteers and caregivers are chosen based on specific needs for each ride.
