ABOUT THE RIDE

Everything is BIG in Texas, so this event should not disappoint, from the start in San Antonio to the finish in Houston.  Witness an iconic day when supporters lining the streets of Fort Hood to cheer on our riders. Healing Heroes from the Center for the Intrepid, Ft. Bliss, and Ft. Hood are also expected to participate in this iconic ride.

This ride is rated Category "C" (somewhat difficult)

PARTICIPATION

This ride will be limited to 150 participants with a minimum $4,000 fee to cover your costs. There is an active duty military or VA employee discount of 50% ($2,000 required fee). Your $80 registration will be applied to the total you raise.

All wounded warriors ride for free by invitation only and must register to be considered for invitation. See below for invitation criteria.

Full week Challenge participants will receive a Project Hero jersey, bib, socks, and t-shirt, as well as hotel housing, rider support, luggage transportation (70 lbs max), daily route guides, marked course, rest stops, hydration and meals. Participants are responsible for transportation to and from the event. There may also be nighttime entertainment on selected evenings.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER ONLINE!  Wounded Warriors, please note that your online registration does not guarantee you a slot on the ride. Participation is by invitation only. Contact your Project HERO Manager with any questions.
