This is a therapy ride for injured veterans and first responders only.  This ride has no fundraising component and is not open to civilian riders beyond a volunteer role.

 

 

ABOUT THE RIDE

The Las Vegas MTB Ride is geared for invited healing heroes, first responders and special guests. The ride takes place at Blue Diamond area of Red Rocks. It is NOT necessary for you to have a MTB in order to participate. Bikes are available for you to use for this ride. First timers are welcome to apply. There will be at least 3 ability groups. If you want to take on all Blue Diamond has to offer or just try it out. This event is a great way to start our 2018. Space is very limited for this event.

 

 

 

This ride is a Category: TECHNICAL: Easy to Medium (Easier to Somewhat Difficult) based on skill group

 

 

PARTICIPATION

Full MTB Events are limited to 40 participants. Selected participants will receive a Project Hero t-shirt, as well as housing, rider support, daily route guides, marked course, rest stops, hydration, nutrition and breakfast and lunch. There may also be entertainment on selected evenings.  ALL DINNERS WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!!

 

All Wounded Warriors ride for free by invitation only and must register to be considered.  See below for invitation criteria.

 

To participate in the MTB Ride, please select your participation type at the top to begin your registration. Please note that your online registration does not guarantee you a slot on the trail. Participation is by invitation only for all to attend. Contact your Project Hero Manager with any questions or info@projecthero.org.

 

 

INVITATION CRITERIA

Invitational criteria may be based on one or more of the following:

1. Category (difficulty) of the ride

2. Participant's ability to successfully complete the ride

3. Participant's past history on Challenges

4. Participation in Project Hero Community Centers and/or Project Hero’s Strava Clubs

 

Based on the above criteria, all participants will receive either an invitation email or waitlist email. Invited participants will have one week to confirm participation before moving to the waitlist. With limited spots, participants on the waitlist will fulfill any spots that open along the way.

 

SINGLE DAY RIDE

Unable to join us for the entire ride? Come share the trail with us as a single day rider! Single day riders receive a Project Hero t-shirt, mechanical support, and hydration/nutrition. Space is limited, so please register early to guarantee your spot.  

 

VOLUNTEERS

All volunteers and caregivers must register online. If you are interested in volunteering or joining us as a caregiver, please sign up here. A Project Hero staff member will reach out to confirm your participation and role.  Please note that signing up as a  volunteer or a caregiver does not guarantee you a spot on a Challenge. Volunteers and caregivers are chosen based on specific needs for each ride. Please contact us with any questions at info@projecthero.org.
